  1. INFO is a service of ARRL HQ.  To use it, mail messages to:
  2.  
  3.    info@arrl.org
  4.  
  5. Each line of the message should contain a single command as shown 
  6. below. You may place as many commands in a message as you want.  
  7. Each file you request will be sent to you in a separate message. 
  8. Only ASCII text files are supported at present.
  9.  
  10. Valid INFO commands:
  11.  
  12. help             Sends this help file
  13.  
  14. index            Sends an index of the files available from INFO
  15.  
  16. send <FILENAME>  Sends "FILENAME" example: send PROSPECT 
  17.  
  18. quit             Terminates the transaction (use this if you have
  19.                  a signature or other text at the end of the message.)
  20.  
  21. reply <address>  Sends the response to the specified address. Put this
  22.                  at the BEGINNING of your message if your From: address
  23.                  is not a valid Internet address.
  24.  
  25. Note: your message will *not* be read by a human!  Do not include any
  26. requests or questions except by way of the above commands.  Retrieve
  27. the "ARRL-EMAIL-ADR" file for a list of addresses of ARRL HQ people.

  29. Also, note that this message is from "info-serv@arrl.org."  DO *NOT* USE
  30. YOUR MAILER'S "REPLY" FUNCTION TO SEND YOUR NEXT REQUEST!  Generate a new
  31. message addressed to "info@arrl.org" instead. We set it up this way to
  32. prevent failed mail from looping endlessly, annoying system
  33. administrators. Mail sent back to info-serv@arrl.org ends up in the
  34. bit bucket.

  36. Your From: field or Reply-to: field in your header should contain a valid
  37. Internet address, including full domain name. If your From: field 
  38. does not contain a valid Internet address, the answer will not
  39. reach you. However, we have recently added a reply function as a server 
  40. command. If needed, the REPLY command should be the first command in
  41. your message.

  45. reply mailaddr
  46.  
  47. Where "mailaddr" is a valid Internet mail address (either user@domain
  48. or bang address accepted.)  An invalid address generates an error. A
  49. wrong address results in non-delivery of your response.
  50.  
  51. The address given in the reply command is the address to which all
  52. subsequent requests in the message will be sent. 
  53.  
  54. If an error message is generated, it will be sent to the last reply
  55. address given.
  56.
